Study in liquid texts: Live writing installation
Shady Dealings with Language, Toast Gallery, Manchester
cotton and linen paper pulp

*poetic text composed over an hour in response to reading chapters from 'Material Matters: The Art of Contemporary Textiles', ed. Ingrid Bachmann

'Writing in pulp might negate the paper page, or as I see it, the text becomes its own page, it is surface enough. It needs a support still though in the first instance -a floor, a piece of fabric, a mould and deckle- but just until it drys at which point it can be lifted right away, intact and independent'
